Leaflet provides an interactive map container, tile layers and vector overlays. It suits modest GeoJSON collections that need panning, zooming, layer switching and feature inspection.
Create the map
Give the container a fixed or responsive height, create L.map, and add a tile layer with the provider's required attribution. Leaflet map coordinates use latitude–longitude pairs; GeoJSON retains longitude–latitude order. L.geoJSON handles that conversion for GeoJSON input.
Style and inspect features
Use a style function for polygon and line symbols and pointToLayer for point markers. Keep water, road and facility symbols consistent with the accompanying legend. Use onEachFeature to attach a popup containing selected attributes; render external attribute values as text.
Group overlays by theme rather than creating a separate control for every feature. fitBounds can frame the loaded layers, and invalidateSize is needed after a hidden or resized container becomes visible.
Temane example
This map displays the attached Temane sample over a remote basemap. Data completeness depends on the attached extract. Large vector datasets generally need tiling, simplification or a different renderer; adding all features as browser objects can be expensive.
