The Temane example assembles administrative context, water, coastline, roads, power features, amenities and place labels into a common map frame in southern Mozambique. It demonstrates how to present several source layers without treating them as a verified project baseline.
Data and extent
The retained folio-derived files are displayed between 34.6° and 35.6° east and 22.45° and 21.2° south. Their feature counts describe these attachments. Administrative or water geometries intersecting the frame may extend outside it; the display extent is not a newly surveyed boundary.
Keep source IDs and tags when deriving a smaller layer. Record the extraction or clipping method separately from map projection and symbols. OSM-derived roads, amenities and power features may be incomplete or outdated.
Read the map
Blue and patterned water provide hydrological context, neutral outlines show administrative boundaries, and distinct line and point symbols separate roads, power and amenities. Place labels locate named features; they do not establish settlement populations or boundaries.
The map supports inspection of crossings, access and nearby features. It does not supply engineering design, land ownership, flood levels or an environmental assessment.
Reproduce the views
The cells below load the attachments, report counts and draw fixed geographic views. Use the static SVG technique for a report figure and MapLibre for navigation and attribute inspection.
