About OpenGeo.tools

OpenGeo.tools publishes technical articles on geographic data and mapping. A resource article identifies its provider, access path and limitations. A method article defines its inputs and calculations. A worked example connects the source data, code and resulting figure.

Reading the examples

Attached samples are retained editions, not live inventories. Provider maps depend on the named service. Map extent, source coverage and ownership are separate facts. An illustrative calculation does not establish an assessment result or a regulatory conclusion.

Project and publication records

The Projects directory connects named projects to their available public editions and Studio records. Public articles are readable without a Studio account. Studio access depends on account membership and the permissions on the project and its data.

Source citations and reuse terms remain with each article. Symbols use shared colors and land-cover patterns where the source establishes the represented class.
