This example combines attached Temane GeoJSON with a remote basemap. Use its controls to inspect how source data, display layers and feature popups relate.
Inspect the layer stack
Polygon context sits below roads and power networks; facility markers and labels sit above them. Toggle layers to inspect overlap and occlusion. The legend uses the same colors as the display.
An overlay toggle changes visibility, not the source data. A popup shows selected feature attributes and does not verify their accuracy. The attached sample is not a complete infrastructure or facility inventory.
Reuse the pattern
Create a named GeoJSON source, add style layers on load, and connect controls to the layers' visibility properties. Retain source IDs and attribution. Remove the map when its Observable cell is invalidated.
Basemap requests require an available provider and a network connection. Use a fixed SVG figure when the publication needs a stable offline illustration.
