Overview
This page is not a screenshot or a pseudo-demo. It is a live browser map showing the same Temane-derived local sources used elsewhere in the site:
- water polygons for context
- roads for access logic
- power lines and points for infrastructure context
- amenities for receptor-like point inspection
Why it matters
A real demo is where the tradeoffs become visible:
- layer order
- popup density
- what should be inspectable versus just visible
- whether the chosen basemap fights the analysis or supports it
Demo pattern
Click point features to inspect them. The base map is external; the thematic layers are loaded from this project.
Layer stack advice
- Basemap first.
- Broad polygons or hydrology next.
- Linear infrastructure after that.
- Points and popups last.
- Keep the total layer count small enough that a reviewer can understand the map in under a minute.
Popup advice
Good popups answer three things quickly:
- what is this feature?
- why is it visible here?
- which one or two attributes matter for the current question?
